Yesterday was Deepavali, it was definitely a great one.
No doubt, it was the busiest one too. First time having four invites to Deepavali open house.
The last two years, my family and I only went to Uncle Sathia's house in Kajang and this year is another three. I missed this one to go for Santhini's open house. It was a nice one for sure. Lovely. She really knows a lot about their tradition, I was impressed when I saw their prayer room, it's not exactly a room but a space for prayers to be done? Haha. That corner there was really beautiful. Zhiling, Wynne and I had our lunch there, awesome one, MUTTON! *yummy* plus snacks :)
We left around 230pm and headed to Wangsa Walk Mall. TEEHEE! First visit for the girls, that mall was super crowded due to public holiday. It was a packed. Shopping it is. Bought a T-shirt there, cheap and nice. I LOVE IT (:
I hope the girls do enjoy their time there. They have a tough time looking for my place, my map is just so incomplete. Sorry for that girls. First time for this little Selangor girl to come to this part of KL, Hahah, I bet she wouldn't want to come to my house anymore. Hehe.
.Back Home.
Packed my stuffs and went to Klang for the two other open house.
We went to Auntie Sheila's place for dinner. Another super nice mutton and tried Idli, it's something that looks like a flat pau. I heard that it is super healthy because it is made without a single drop of oil. It looks something like that,
Besides that, Auntie Sheila's mum made various types of cookies and traditional Indian candy. These candies are no jokes man, they are so sweet. When you eat it, you can't stop smiling. This is real, trust me. HAHAH! All these are homemade man, cool la la :)
Exactly like that, all sorts of colours. Ingredients are mostly milk and sugar. Seriously, you can only eat this once a year man (:
After that, we went to Auntie Chandra's place. I can't eat anymore but it is so rude for not eating, so, out of courtesy, we eat again, second dinner man! This is nuts. But, if I did not go to Auntie Chandra's house, I wouldn't get a chance to meet Uncle Robert and Auntie Dahlia. Lovely and nice people in the neighbourhood. How can I don't know them before this? This shows how anti-social I am in the neighbourhood :\
Uncle Robert shared his experiences with us. It was a nice one, really. You can see how a professional researcher can be so humble in him, unlike some people who really loves to boost around about their career and stuffs. That is what we called show off. But this Uncle Robert here is a very unique man I would say, he is very different from the other men at his age and with such success in life, I don't know how to explain in words, my bad. He taught me they way to study, talked a lot about his life in England, started as a male nurse, the magazine in the rubbish bin that changed his life, the turning point in life. Life is misery, really. If he did not pick up the magazine 30 years ago, he will not be who he is now. This is his destiny. The process isn't easy, well, nothing comes easy right? He is a very nice man. Auntie Dahlia is very cute too. They look perfect together :)
That's the end of my Deepavali. What about yours?
I feel like I'm a real Malaysian now. The choice of leaving Chong Hwa and enrolled to HELP is the reason I guess. Chinese New Year is not the only festival that I am celebrating now. I am happy. When you're in college, you don't only mix around with Chinese like I've always do in primary and high school. I'm exposed to more different things this year, which is a good thing, isn't it? :)
Live life to the max friends. Cheers :)
Check this song out people. It is really nice.
